We Rebranded!

July 29, 2019

We have redesigned our ice cream pints and logo in collaboration with local Guemes Island artist Slow Loris. The end result is an exciting and edgy new look, which we believe reflects our company’s fun, off-beat culture. The project has been in the works for about a year, beginning with a few phone conversations between the owner of Lopez Island Creamery, Alex Thieman, and the owner and artist at Slow Loris, Jessica Lynch. Each pint features a hand-drawn picture of the distinguishing flavor (such as a strawberry for their “Skagit Strawberry Ice Cream”), a hand-drawn diagram of Lopez Island Creamery’s process, and an amusing story about each flavor. Originally, the plan was to have Jessica only create a new logo for the brand, but later we realized that Jessica’s unique style would be a perfect fit for the whole package. Pints with the new designs are rolling out into stores now in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. To view them before they arrive in local markets, check out Lopez Island Creamery’s Instagram and Facebook page, where we have featured them in several posts.

Lopez Island Creamery Rebrand!

We wouldn't normally condone judging a book by its cover, but we'll make an exception for our new packaging and #rebrand! Local ice cream, local artist! Specal thanks to Slow Loris Studio for going above and beyond, @wrenanddella for thier amazing juggling, and of course the whole Lopez Island Creamery crew!
